Employing a cartoon animation style with sometimes sketch-like outlines, multimedia artists bring Venezia’s work to life. Leonardo narrates, creating the context of his life and career and describing his various roles as painter, architect, inventor, math¬≠ematician and scientist. “I was one of the first to make paintings seem real in all ways.” he explains.

Throughout, viewers see photos or real-life paintings, sculptures and buildings interspersed With animations. And all along the way, Leonardo points out such detail as the perspecitve, background and dimensions of many of his works including The Last Supper and the Mona Lisa, “probably the most famous painting in the world.”
